Pre-Enrolment Message for Current Students

You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on February 2, 2026.

 

Enrolment for New Students

Alex Janvier is a closed boundary school at all grade levels. As outlined in Division Regulations, the only new students accepted to our school are:

* Resident students who live within the attendance area (please check on the EPSB website or call us to confirm if you are within our attendance area).

* Siblings of current students who will be returning to the school the following year, as long as:

    • both siblings will be attending the school next year, and

    • both students pre-enrol before the deadline of 4 p.m. on March 25, 2026.

 

If the student you are registering or pre-enroling meets one of the above criteria for the 2026-2027 school year, please register them online.

 

After pre-enrolment closes at 4 p.m. on March 25, 2026, only resident students who move into the school’s attendance area will be able to attend a closed-boundary school.

  • See schools with closed boundaries for the 2026-27 school year
  • Non-resident students can attend another Division school that has space in planned classes.
 

Principal's Message

At Alex Janvier, our goal has always been to build the school the students in our community need and deserve. In our fifth year of operation, we have delivered on that promise and are now one of the finest schools anywhere, with a focus on excellence. 

We  have a very strong academic program (with outstanding PAT exam results last year). Yet, we offer so much more to our students. We have amazing opportunities for students in the art, music, athletics, drama, leadership and more, which allow all students to be a part of a well rounded school program.

We also believe strongly in that we can always improve, ensuring that your child is given the best opportunities to learn and grow into the amazing adults we know they can be. Our staff are excited to partner with you in your child’s education and growth. 

As an educator of many years, I believe that students learn best when they are taught by experts who are passionate about their content area, whether that is language arts, science, social studies, math or any of the other subjects students learn at Alex Janvier. I also believe that every student can be successful, and we strive to ensure that success is realized here at Alex Janvier.
