2023–24 Division Calendar
Last spring, the Board of Trustees approved the 2024-25 school year calendar. Since then, Alberta Education has finalized its exam schedule and the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Board of Trustees ratified a new collective agreement. These developments have meant that changes were needed to the calendar.
On Tuesday, the Board of Trustees approved a new calendar that includes the following noteworthy changes:
The first day of classes will now be Thursday, August 29.
Teaching staff will return to work on Wednesday, August 28.
A fall break, which includes two board approved non-instructional days and a teachers’ day in lieu, has been scheduled for November 8 to 13.
A number of Professional Development (PD) days were shifted throughout the school year, and one was removed, to accommodate the changes.
